Wood-effect porcelain stoneware has the warmth of parquet and is untroubled by water. It still has to be laid like wood: the grain varied from one board to the next so nothing repeats, a staggered bond, and one single piece per tread on the staircase. Here it runs from the living room to the stairs, and carries on into the shower tray.
